Departing Missionary

We recommend signing up before they leave — even just a week before departure. That way the account is ready, the first email arrives safely, and you don't miss a single week. You can set everything up in about five minutes, and we'll walk you through it.
In short, nope — once you sign up, we will send an introduction email with all the details. We do have a suggested email format (subject line, picture attachments, etc.) that will help ensure a well organized book. Besides that, they simply include our email address on their weekly email and we handle everything from there. No extra steps, no new apps, and nothing that changes their mission routine.
Plain text or HTML emails both work beautifully. Photos attached to the email are pulled in automatically and printed alongside the letter text. If your missionary uses a church-provided email account or Gmail, both are fully supported. We'll send you a simple setup guide when you create your account.
Yes! If you have past emails saved in your inbox, you can forward them to your capture address all at once and we'll date-stamp them correctly. We'll make sure the book reads in perfect chronological order, even if the earlier letters arrive late. Don't let a late start stop you — the story is still worth keeping.
There are two ways to get your missionary's book:

Pay Monthly — A $70 deposit locks in your spot and pricing today, then just $20/month starting the week they depart. Keep in mind a 12-month minimum applies, even if they come home early.

Pay in Full — A single payment of $430 that unlocks our Never Lose a Memory Guarantee — unlimited revisions, mission change protection, and a full refund if the final book isn't exactly what you hoped for.

Both options adjust slightly based on whether your missionary is serving 18 or 24 months, and all payments are processed securely through Stripe.
No worries! We send weekly "Story-Puller" Prompts to give them something to write about, plus simple tips like using voice-to-text so they can talk it out instead of type it out. One of the biggest advantages of Weekly is that it actually helps turn every missionary into a consistent storyteller.

Currently Serving

Life happens — transfers, holidays, mission events. If a week is missed, nothing breaks. The book simply flows from one letter to the next. If you'd like to note the gap, you can add a small editorial note yourself (like "General Conference week — no letter") and we'll typeset it right alongside the others.
Yes, and this is one of our most beloved features. Any photos attached to the weekly email are automatically captured and beautifully laid out near the corresponding letter. They're printed in full color on premium paper. We typically recommend the missionary selects their top 5 highest quality photos from the week to include in their book.
Once you approve your book layout, printing typically takes 5–7 business days and shipping is an additional 3–5 days depending on your location. If you're ordering to have the book ready for homecoming, we recommend placing your order at least three weeks before the return date. Expedited options are available — just email us and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
We'd love to show you. Visit our homepage for sample spreads and a closer look at the cover and interior layout options. The book is hardcover with a full-bleed photo cover, printed on warm cream paper, and typeset with care to feel like a real heirloom — not a printout. We're proud of how beautiful they turn out.

Returned Missionary

It's never too late. If you saved the weekly emails — even in an old Gmail folder or exported file — we can work with them. Forward or upload them to your account and we'll sequence everything in order. Families who waited two or three years have still created stunning books. The letters haven't lost any of their meaning.
A partial mission book is still a beautiful, meaningful keepsake. We'll lay out what you have, and you can optionally add a short note for any weeks that are missing. Some families also pull in screenshots from family group chats or notes from their own journals to fill those gaps. We can help you think through what you have — just reach out.
Yes, and many love doing this together as a family. The returned missionary can log into the account to review their letters, choose a cover photo, add a personal foreword or dedication, and select from layout options. It often becomes a beautiful reunion activity — reliving the mission letter by letter before the book goes to print.
It's one of the most heartfelt gifts we've seen exchanged. Several returned missionaries have ordered a copy specifically to give to mom on homecoming Sunday, or to present to grandparents at Christmas. If you'd like to give a book as a gift, we can ship it directly to the recipient in discreet packaging with a personal gift note inside. Email us and we'll coordinate the surprise.
Yes — and ordering multiple copies is one of the best ways to share the mission with everyone who loves your missionary. Grandparents, aunts and uncles, friends — additional copies of the same book are available at a reduced per-book rate. Each additional book costs $100 for printing. Let us know how many you need when the book is finalized and you place your order.
We do! We built a dedicated flow just for returned missionary families. It accounts for uploading past emails, and getting your book to print as quickly as possible. Visit the Returned Missionary form to get started.
